Glitterific!

5/6/11 - My Milani One Coat Glitters arrived today! Had to try them right away. Here is the beautiful Red Sparkle:

And the stunning Purple Gleam:

I also got Silver Dazzle, but haven't swatched her yet! <3

Gilding the Lily

5/3/11 - I discovered a brand I hadn't tried before at Rite Aid, CQ. This is CQ Golden Green. I really like it. It's very, very close to Borghese Euro Green, but significantly less rough on the pocketbook. :)

Taste the rainbow!

5/1/11 - Decided to try a Skittle mani today because I had several polishes I wanted to try. :) The polishes are:  Sally Girl Mini Surf's Up (thumb), Sally Girl Mini Luv It (index), Wet N Wild Fast Dry Teal or No Teal (middle), Sally Girl Mini Pea-Body (ring), unnamed Urban Decay pink shimmer (pinky).

Feeling blue

4/29/11 - Feeling this gorgeous Sinful Colors blue, Hot Spot! I bought this polish with the intention of making a franken for the coveted, VHTF Essie Starry Starry Night. Here it is alone. It's a dark, royal (almost navy) blue with turquoise microglitter - but the microglitter is so fine that it's barely noticeable (especially when combined with a silver glitter topcoat, a few photos down).

Then I decided to play a little. Base is still Sinful Colors Hot Spot, but on top I put one coat of: CC Revvvolution (thumb), CC Worth The Risque (index), Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada (middle), Sinful Colors You Just Wait (ring), and Cover Girl Boundless Color Bronze Beauty (pinky).

Back to the original plan: SSN dupe. It's not, as you can see, because I put the silver glitter on as a topcoat rather than mixing it into Hot Spot. I think, though, that if you darken Hot Spot with a bit of black and add some silver glitter, you'll have a decent shot at a dupe of everyone's favorite starry sky polish!

My FIRST Giveaway!! ***CLOSED***

I finally reached 50 followers this week!! To thank you all for your support, I am having my very FIRST giveaway! It's a small one, mind you, but I hope you all enjoy it. I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you, and the time you take out of your lives to read and follow my blog!

So, for my mini-giveaway, here is what I present to you ... minis! :)

One (1) L.A. Colors Mini Bright High Impact Nail Color set of 5 bright mini polishes, brand new;
One (1) package of L.A. Colors Strawberry-Scented Nail Polish Remover Pads (32 count), brand new;
and
Two (2) Sinful Colors Mini Polishes, in Midnight Blue and This Is It (both swatched onto wheels once by me but never worn on the nail).

The two gold polishes ARE very similar in color; sorry about that! The Sinful one appears thinner in quality and has more holo-y glitter in it - great for layering!

Holographic Rainbows!!

I am sooo excited about this mani! I decided to make an attempt at a Scotch tape mani using the colors from the Milani 3D Holographic Nail Lacquer collection. Stripes made with Hi-Res (Purple), Cyberspace (Blue), Hi-Tech (Green), 3-D (Gold), and Digital (Pink). Not bad for a first attempt! It's sooo gorgeous and sparkly, especially in the sun! It took me 3 DAYS to finish! I hope you like it!

Happy Easter!

4/21/11 - My Easter mani! Sinful Colors Boom Boom is the base, and I used Joby nail decals in Easter designs to complete the look. I'm loving it! Very bright, Springy, and festive! Happy Easter!

Funky French!

4/14/11 - Funky French using Color Club Catwalk Queen as the base color and Milani 3D Holographic Nail Lacquer in Hi-Res for the tips. Super pretty and sparkly!

Alice is MINE!!

I have wanted this polish for soooo long, and I finally got it (on ebay for $8.00 plus shipping)! This is OPI Absolutely Alice, a rare/HTF (hard to find) blue and gold glitter. The application is kind of rough; even with Seche on top the glitter was sort of lumpy. Still, it's BEAUTIFUL and I adore it! I hope you all agree!

Seeing Green

Today's mani is a Sally Girl mini called Text Me. I can't get enough of this gorgeous green, so I took lots of pics! It's soooo glossy and shiny!

My Stash!

Thought it might be time to post a pic of my meager stash. I've actually added about 25 - 30 polishes since I took this. Current count is ... 85? :)

Gray's Anatomy

4/2/11 - This gorgeous gal is Wet N Wild Fast Dry Nail Color in Gray's Anatomy. It's not really gray ... it's not really ANY color. It's amaaazing! I can't call it a duo-chrome because it's more like a multi-chrome. It's taupe, purple, pink, green, blue ... it's very opalescent. I took lots of pics to show different colors in different light. Reminds me a lot of an old Urban Decay shade I had; I think it was called Smog or Acid Rain? Anyway, I can't get enough of this color. I bet it looks SUPER with the Black Shatter!

Haulz! (PIC HEAVY)

3/26/11 - Here's my haul from this week, and of course swatches!

Color Club, left to right: Worth the Risque, Revvvolution, Fashion Addict, Catwalk Queen

Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe (and a bonus mini of Ruby Red Slippers - SCORE!!)

Milani 3D Holographic Nail Lacquer in 3-D, Cyberspace, and Hi-Tech

Fashion Addict. Some have said the formula has changed on this and it's not as holo as it used to be. I don't know what it looked like before, so I can't compare. I do LOVE this color though! It's so sparky and pretty in the sun!

Milani 3D Holo in Cyberspace. This is one of my favorite shades of all time! You can clearly see the holo-ey goodness, and it's much more obvious in the Milanis than in the Color Clubs.

Milani 3D Holo in 3-D. Another amazing holo shade from Milani! I've yet to meet a Milani I didn't like.

Milani 3D Holographic in Hi-Tech. It looks much more yellowish-neon on the nail (though this pic doesn't show it well) than in the bottle. Maybe it's the Seche on top that makes it change color?

Milani Hi-Tech with OPI Black Shatter on top. Pretty cool!

Catwalk Queen. SUCH a gorgeous, vampy color! I loooove dark polish!

Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe. <3 Words do not describe how much I love this polish! At $18 it's the most expensive polish I own. It's a navy jelly with various sizes of hexagonal and normal green & blue glitter. It's just FANTASTIC! If you only ever buy one Lippmann polish, this should be it.

Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers. I love this polish too! It's a black jelly with different sizes of hexagonal and standard black & red glitter. It was harder to apply than ATU (above), but I love the vampy look!

What do you think of these colors? Would you wear them? I <3 them all!
